Who loves their new car...this guy

Black streaks across open planes like bats out of hell
A rumbling monster shakes grounds not yet traveled
The stampede of horses roars in the air
Eyes of white pierce the surrounding darkness
The demons within cannot join those that surround
Red lines climb up a loop never ending
Freedom as white dashes fly by in a search for nowhere
In a sea of darkness the thin white line that never gets closer…
It is of no concern for that is not my destination

I drop the clutch, shift into 5th and scream down the road
Driving off to nowhere in particular
In my black SS Camaro
A sonnet of war

Frozen mountain paths faces frostbitten
Glazed over eyes, haggard bodies of war
Three lay prone, their last chapter is written
Wondering just if there are anymore

Tracers burn neon streaks across the night
The constant rattle of outgoing fire
Scared as hell doing what we think is right
The dawn breaks over situations dire
Crimson splashes covered by painful screams
Devil’s crosses spray fire down from the sky
Memories that will always plague my dreams
This burden to stay even if I try

Sleep sound America and do not fear
I’ll keep your enemies from getting near
Old Iambic poem bout going to boot

Who knew in one day how one’s life could change
Signature and handshake as I joined them
Proud and ready to serve my land
Midnight bus ride, smokey bears walk to us
GET OFF MY BUS, DROP AND GIVE ME 50
Scared like babies in a harsh and new world
Pushups, long runs, shooting, gung ho
Ready to face the enemies of my nation
Grad day, mom dad, blue cord pinned on
Now look at me, best I can be
Hail oh Hail oh Infantry….follow me!
